New Canon SD3500 IS Touchscreen Announced
The 3 biggest players in the digital camera business, Canon, Nikon and Sony, keep turning out new cameras all the time. It’s difficult for us to keep our site updated with Canon camera repair and parts info for all their new models let alone everybody else as well.

The newest from Canon is the SD3500 IS with 14 megapixel resolution, a 3.5″ touchscreen LCD and a nice 24mm (wide angle) lens with 5x optical zoom!
It’s a pretty nice looking camera, but until I can get my hands on one I can’t say if it will be worth the price of admission or not. Just remember to NOT get caught up in the megapixel hype; more MP is not a better picture, it’s just bigger that’s all.

I have to ask you digital camera adwise. Thinking about go for a step up from my current situation and start using digital camera. On last travel I realized that my previouscamera is simply not satisfying when shooting distant landscape and darkness shots. I’m only amator photographer, so I can’t really justify dropping a bunch of cash on a fancy camera, but I need something that gives me a little more versatility, has a powerful zoom and a decent shutter speed so I have the optiom of taking motion pics. Can someone refer to me some adwise? I’d like to do some shopping review but not too sure where to begin with. Thanks!
Hi Nothypequa
There are a few very good cameras out there for under $150. I recommend Canon for quality entry-level cameras, and two are:
Powershot A1100 IS, $129 and Powershot SD1200 IS, $149
The big difference between the two are:
A1100 IS – uses 2x AA batteries (always use rechargeables!)
SD1200 IS – uses Canon rechargeable battery, slightly smaller than the A1100

Canon SD1200 IS – http://www.darntoothysam.com/products/New-Canon-Powershot-SD1200-IS-Digital-Camera.html
You will be happy with either camera. Hope this helps!
