Emma Watson And The Missing Leg!

Yes it’s true, we so excessive Photoshoping (interesting how that became a verb isn’t it?) of images all the time. Every model you see in every ad in every magazine and on TV has been edited extensively….

Wrinkles and blemishes are removed, tone and color are evened out, legs can be STRETCHED to appear to be longer! But why? Because youth, beauty and sex SELL, that’s why.

But is it all too much? Wouldn’t it be better to see normal looking people in advertisements? I argue it would. Again, but why? Because we “normal” people (non-Photoshopped) could relate to a normal looking model far more readily than we can to a so-called “Supermodel”. What’s so “super” about them anyway, they can’t fly or leap tall buildings in a single bound…

That leads me to the Emma Watson missing leg “disaster” people are talking about. Why do people care so much if the leg was removed or not? Does it matter? Is it actually something of importance that we should waste even a single minute of our lives thinking about it?

This website shows the “controversial” image as well as a video that sets the record straight.

The whole story gets a big “Who cares?” from me. So why am I spending this time writing about it?

Because I want you to take a moment to think about how this story affects you…

Does your life change if her leg was removed from the picture on purpose? Could you maybe have spent the 5 minutes you spent reading about it playing with your child or your dog instead? What about taking those 5 minutes to write a note to a loved one that you haven’t spoken to for some time? How about just sitting with your child and asking them how their day was and if they did anything new or fun?

Wouldn’t it make YOUR WORLD a better place to take those 5 minutes and do something constructive and let those that are important to you KNOW how important they are? We are here for a short period of time, don’t waste your time here with nonsense such as this.

Yup, I just took 5 minutes of your life… but hopefully I was able to give you something as well.
