Please do not purchase the LCD screen repair service for your DSC-M1 if you cannot record pictures or movies but can still play back old images and see the menus.

If the LCD screen on your DSC-M1 is solid black, or pink and purple running paint when you try to take a picture but you can see the menus perfectly fine, YOU DO NOT NEED YOUR LCD SCREEN REPAIRED. Your camera has a defective CCD sensor, and it was covered under recall as a free repair by Sony from 2005-2010. Sony is no longer repairing these cameras for free.
