Are your built in LENS COVERS or SHUTTERS broken, damaged or non-functional on your Canon Powershot SD780 IS digital camera? Is your LENS COVER cracked, or bent from use or impact damage? Here is what you need to fix it!

1 Front Cap "Canon Zoom Lens..." (Please select color!)
1 Barrier Unit (contains everything else, already assembled!)

Please Note: This repair kit is different than the other Canon SD series cameras, the secondary parts such as the springs etc. come as one unit called the "Barrier Unit" already assembled so you don't have to do it yourself.

Warranty Information

We give a 120 day warranty on all parts and repair services. This warranty is limited to parts and labor only; the buyer is responsible for shipping the camera or part to us in case of a warranty claim. No warranty requests will be honored for cameras or parts with impact damage, water exposure, or other signs of obvious abuse or neglect.

  1. An easy fix for my camera

    The repair kit worked wonderfully! I consider myself lucky to have the SD780 IS where the barrier unit is pre-assembled & I didn't need to play with those tiny springs. The barrier unit slid in nicely and I was pleasantly surprised by how easily the adhesive cover peeled away. It would help to have a more direct link to instructions for this kit to make it clear that you extend the lens first, and to point out the tiny notch for aligning the front cap - but you can infer those steps by observing the device and reading other installation steps. I'm glad to have my camera feeling whole again.

    The hardest part was waiting - I placed my order on 10/18/11 and just received the part on 11/12/11 (25 days).
